Marwan Moujaes is a visual artist, researcher, and lecturer at the faculty of visual arts of the University of Strasbourg. He holds a PhD in Art from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, a MA in painting from the Lebanese University of Beirut and a DNSEP from the ESAD Valenciennes. He has been artist in residence at the Jan van Eyck Academie (the Netherlands), Villa Empain (Belgium), Tingshus (Sweden), Prendendo Tempo (Italy), Residence Triennale Territoriale with Le Shed (France), and Iconocube with the Galerie Duchamp (France). His work has been exhibited at the Bonnefanten Museum (the Netherlands), Villa Empain (Belgium), Sursock Museum (Lebanon), Fondazione Baruchello (Italy), La Halle Pont-en-Royans (France). In 2018 he was awarded the public prize at the Sciences Po Prize for Contemporary Art in Paris and in 2020 the residency prize of the Boghossian Foundation-Villa Empain in Brussels.
