Dalia Wahdan

Dalia Wahdan is an anthropologist, co-founder of Bureau Gladys++, a joint venture for urban and architectural studies based in Cairo, Egypt, and associate (adjunct) professor at the School of Public Policy, the American University in Cairo. She works on urbanism in India, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, focusing on new town planning, vulnerability, urban subjectivities, insurgent citizenship, and spatial inequities. Her publications include Planning Egypt's New Settlements: The Politics of Spatial Inequities (Oxford University Press and Cairo Papers). She serves on several peer-review editorial and advisory boards and was the head of the Board of Trustees of Green Peace MENA in 2020. Now, she is working on land, infrastructure, and finance nexus in Egypt.
