Elżbieta Mirga-Wójtowicz is a cultural animator, political scientist and researcher at the Migration Research Center at the University of Warsaw. She is currently focusing on Polish Roma migration, politics, transnationalism, inequality, religion and national and ethnic identities of Polish migrants. She has almost fifteen years of experience working in government administration in the implementation of state policy towards ethnic and national minorities and in coordinating the implementation of integration policy towards the Roma in Poland. She has authored research for evaluation reports on Roma integration policy in Poland for the EC’s Roma Civil Monitor project for 2017-2020 and for 2021-2025.
