Kristina Millona (she/her) is a scholar from Albania working on topics around Albanian migration, border violence, policing, and racial capitalism. After graduating from SOAS University of London in Transnational Queer Feminist Politics, she has researched and written on the criminalization of Albanian migration in the UK, with a particular focus on the securitization of Albanian male asylum-seekers. Her current research, ‘Homosexuality, State Security and carceral violence in communist Albania’, sheds light on the ways the state sought to control male same-sex desires during the communist regime.
