Rita Ouédraogo lives and works in Amsterdam. She holds a MSc in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology from the University of Amsterdam. As a curator, writer, researcher and community programmer, her work is informed by her interest in African diaspora, decolonizing institutions, institutional racism, popular culture and social issues. Ouédraogo has worked on various projects aimed at making museum collections more widely accessible. She researches questions related to cooperation and solidarity: how can cooperation take place in situations of power inequality, and, in particular, from a decolonial point of view?
